You guys have come to learn that a lot of the DIYs we do around here are things that I can't find locally. Of course, Italy is amazing, and I'm sure I'll be DIYing my own mozzarella cheese once we move back to America, but there are just some things I miss from America that I can't DIY right or get around here — burritos, for example.
However, some things can be mailed to me, and I routinely request them from my mother and friends — it's usually super specific things like Mrs. Meyers soaps and certain Asian food ingredients. And, a care package staple to Italy for me? Trader Joe's snacks.
This fall, both my mom and good friend Sarah sweetly visited Trader Joe's and sent me a beautiful box of maple and pumpkin-flavored snacks from Trader Joe's. I was IN HEAVEN. One of my favorite things in those boxes were these awesome tiny s'mores snacks — little candies that were like a portable, bite-sized s'mores. I ate them embarrassingly quickly and then regretted everything because I wanted more.
So, DIY to the rescue! These candies took a minute to make (mostly because of the chocolate drizzling), but it made a WHOLE LOT of bites and I've been giving them away and still haven't managed to eat them all. And I'm pregnant guys, so that's a feat. These would make a great addition to a Christmas goodie basket or fun appetizer at a party! Or things to hoard at home and binge eat — but that's always an option.
