There are so many things I love about our new home, but the architectural details are definitely at the top of the list. This isn’t the largest bathroom in the house, but this one is on the main level (where our bedroom also is), so it’s the one I use the most. Plus, the upstairs bathroom is great, but the shower isn’t warm in the winter, so there’s that!
I’ve been looking at black painted rooms for months, and knew it would look great in this room with the white wainscoting and giant picture window. Black paint can seem overwhelming and too drastic, but I knew with the amount of light this room had, paired with the contrast of the white wainscoting, we’d be in business.
There are a few other updates I’d like to make to the space — mainly, just switching out the light fixtures, especially the vanity lighting. In a perfect world, I’d like a different shower/bath combo, but the fiberglass one piece that’s in there right now is just fine. I wouldn’t mind updating the faucet and mirror too, but for now, I love this space and all the wonderful light in there!
