Well, I guess a "virgin" drink recipe is as good a time to announce it here as any — I'm pregnant! We're totally stoked about our baby boy, who should join us on this planet sometime in December. We are over-the-moon excited and scared, all at once, because what other reaction can you even have to being pregnant with your first kiddo?
So, it's been a summer of sobriety for me, and if you know anything about our blog, we're not really the abstaining types (though we're like, fancy and adult about it). So it's been a struggle to make fun drinks that were unborn-fetus-friendly, and let's face it: mocktails are kind of boring.
I made this on a whim for a fiesta-themed potluck, since I decided to leave the Mexican food to the people who actually know how to make it right. It's totally easy, not too sweet, and is a perfectly fun party drink, or even just bottled up (we use one-liter IKEA glass bottles) at home! And hey, if you're not a preggo, you can even add white rum — I'll be right behind you, come January.
