I have a bit of a graphic tee obsession. Maybe it's the 13-year old in me, who used to buy witty, sarcastic shirts at Hot Topic on the reg (had a real goth phase for a hot minute — you're a trooper, mom), but there's nothing better than a comfy shirt that says something fun.
When I saw this DIY on Studio DIY, one of my favorite blogs, I immediately bought some iron-on letters. I could not wait to start making shirts! But then I sat on the supplies for months because I could not decide what to put on them. After plenty of time to brainstorm, and a bottle of wine that sped up the process, these shirts were born. Initially, we wanted to make Beyoncé-only shirts, but I already have a "I woke up like this" shirt and although you can definitely never have too many Bey-themed tees, I didn't wanna go "Black Swan" level.
So, I stuck to the basics — food and lady power. Thus, "Girl gang," "Cheese please," "Boy, bye (our Beyonce choice. "Slay" was a close second), and "Cat, snacks, crafts," our informal Freckle & Fair slogan. "Pizza queen" would've made the cut but I ran out of e's.
I'm in love with these new tees and they were crazy cheap to make! I'll be wearing them around the house all summer, paired with my hole-y yoga pants, or also out and about, paired with maxi skirts and cut-off shorts while I try to rock them along with the accompanying sweat stains.
