It's hard to believe, but before there was Pinterest, people had to like, handwrite their recipes. On this old-fashioned thing called paper. And organize them in a little box, pass them among friends and family or clip them out of a newspaper (can you even?)
Ok, ok, you already knew that (unless you're part of Generation Z, perhaps). But as much as we love the Internet (so much, ya'll), sometimes you just can't beat paper. I still prefer real books (looks like I'm not alone!) and as former newspaper ladies, we tend to mourn the decline of the printed word.
In celebration of our first IRL event last week — and in advance of our day at Renegade Craft in Brooklyn on June 25 — we thought we'd share some Freckle & Fair recipes you can hold in your hands. It's lovely to cook a new recipe without needing to be tethered to your laptop, smart phone or tablet. Maybe they'll even inspire you to add a recipe box to your kitchen counters. We both do!
