So, my family's a little obsessed with St. Patrick's Day. I'm pretty sure it's my mother's favorite holiday based on the excessive amount of shamrock things she owns and decorates her home with, no matter what time of the year it is. But as Irish as we are (or say we are — I do have a red-haired sister) we never did the corned beef and cabbage route. No, my family was more into the green beer and shamrock-shaped treat aspects of St. Pat's.
So, what's the most Irish breakfast cereal? Lucky Charms of course. And you can't get more Irish than covering fried dough with the most sugary part of the cereal and then making it into the shape of a rainbow. Right? That's Irish, I think. There's no pot of gold at the end of these rainbows – just golden brown dough, and we think that's just as good.
