Moving to Italy has given us quite the travel bug. Everything is so close and so easy to get to, and usually pretty darn cheap. My travel bug has gotten so bad that if we have a long weekend and don't have an excursion planned, I get a little grumpy. How spoiled we are!
Once I knew we were moving to Italy, my friends started sending me list after list about places to visit, or the cultural quirks of the Italians. One of my favorites was a Buzzfeed list (sorry not sorry), 28 Towns in Italy You Won't Believe Are Real Places, and there were multiple towns on the Amalfi Coast with incredible pictures. My bucket list grew so much longer with that listicle, and I knew it would be one of the first places we'd have to visit.
Our Amalfi Coast trip was actually the first trip we took in Italy, and boy were we in for a treat. We basically got our car and a week later headed down south. Let me tell you one thing about Italy: the drivers are insane. And let me tell you another thing: The farther south you go, the crazier they get. The Naples area is actually known for some of the wildest drivers around, and had we known that, there is no way we would've taken our car. But we were clueless and naive and excited and somehow made it out alive, between the weaving Vespas, switchbacks up and down the cliffsides, ballsy bus drivers and laughable parking situations.
