Maybe it's because it's nearly Marshmallow Peep season, or maybe color trends in the worlds of fashion (see: cool girl pink coat) and graphic design (even Leo Burnett is doing it!) are rubbing off on me. But lately, I can't stop daydreaming about adding more candy-colored shades to my home.
I like to believe that I'm an equal opportunity color lover, but in truth I tend to gravitate toward the same shades. Wine, mustard and cyan are favorites no matter the summer and winter alike. Despite my typical the-bolder-the-better strategy, I introduced mint green to the lineup in my home with my wannabe bar cart, which I love no matter the season.
Poppytalk's image of a baby pink desk in Ikea's latest collection (below) has me drooling. Although I have some reservations about appearing as if Rainbow Brite is my interior designer, I've got a pastel itch I feel like I need to scratch with my next apartment refresh.
I've put together a collection of images to brainstorm the best ways to paint the town pale. Let's start with the most gasp-inducing:
Holy mother of Eames, check out this collection of pastel molded plastic chairs from Cult Furniture. If that's not enough to make you wish you had space for more than two chairs in your one-bedroom, I don't know what is.
