We've never been good at keeping secrets. But somehow, we've been working on this big ol' project for months (it's been a dream of ours for years now!) and we've kept it bottled up. But here it is, in the flesh, for reals — the Freckle & Fair shop!
Sorry, we can't sell homemade pop tarts and bagels over the internet, but even better than that, we've got squee-worthy greeting cards to show your bae your appreciation, wall prints to cure those white walls and tea towels to make that cheese platter even more party ready.
This has been a project that we've seriously always wanted to do in our eight years of friendship — in loose terms, make adorable things to sell, but in more specific terms, work on something together that we can truly be proud of. And this one takes the cake. Our very first entrepreneurial venture!
Theresa has been secretly storing away adorable greeting card ideas for years. She always thought it was just something fun that she could do on the side, for close friends and family. No joke, Theresa's first Christmas gift to Katie was a set of hand-printed stationary, because Katie is a snail mail, thank-you letter-writing nerd. It was the epitome of thoughtfulness, guys, and here we go getting sentimental here. But we got to thinking — why couldn't this be a for-real thing? Other people that aren't our moms think these are cute — would people pay money for it?
So, well, I guess we'll see about that last one. But if you are someone who thinks we make cute things that you would pay money for, check out our Freckle & Fair shop! You explore what we've got here on the blog, so you never have to wander far from donut recipes to buy a sympathy card with reflective cheese (we know you need dis), but we've given our new venture a home on Etsy, and couldn't be prouder to join such an awe-inspiring group of small business owners. Click any listing photo on the blog shop to find the product listing on Etsy.
So, in short — look at the things we made! Aren't they cute?! And if you really like them, give us money so we can give them to you! Or if you don't have any money (we totally get it), tell people with money about them. Or start a GoFundMe for $4.50. Then use our thank you cards to thank the people who donated to your cause. Really, we just want the world to have more cute stuff that shows appreciation. And how better to do that than with greeting cards, or with a beautiful gifted wall print (even if that gift is to yourself, because you deserve it, darling). So, check out the shop, let us know what you think, and share with your friends. Because the world could use more greeting cards with cheese on it, don't you think?
