I'm a breakfast person. I know most people aren't, but I can't get by without eating something in the morning. And sadly, even though I'm definitely an adult, my favorite breakfast is sugary, totally-bad-for-you cereal. Reese's Puffs, Golden Grahams, whatever. Call me 5, but that's how I start my day.
One of my favorite cereals is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but the best part about it is when the cereal is all gone and it's just the milk left with all the sugary goodness left behind. Lots of times I pull a cat lady and give my leftover milk to my cat, but not when it's a Cinnamon Toast Crunch morning.
What better way to start your day than with the goodness of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and caffeine? Cereal-flavored coffee creamer was the logical next step. It's got all the amazingness of being a kid in sugary cereal flavor you can add to your very adult coffee.
- 3 cups half & half or heavy cream
- 3 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal
- Preheat your oven to 300F. Spread the cereal on a cookie sheet covered in foil. Cook for 10 minutes, then stir and toast for five more.
- Place cereal in a bowl and pour in the cream. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then, pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the solids and pour into your desired container. Store in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks and add to coffee as desired.
